You asked for it, so we formulated it! When our customers let us know that they were looking for an all natural, plant-based solution for mosquitoes and ticks, Dagny went to work on a solution. She found it by infusing thyme from the Happy Homestead's Healing Garden with a combination of essential oils that work to protect you from those nasty insects. Our Bugs Be Gone salve not only helps to repel mosquitoes and ticks, but it also helps soothe bites and stings after the fact if you happen to wander out without our salve in hand. Just apply the salve to your exposed skin before you head into the wild beyond (or your back patio) and apply as needed to soothe bites and stings.

To repel bugs:

• Apply a small dab of our Bugs Be Gone onto your fingertips and lightly rub the salve over your exposed skin.
• There is no need to apply large amounts or to vigorously rub the salve into your skin.
• Simply apply enough salve to transfer the scent to your body. It's that easy.

To soothe bites and stings:

• Simply rub the salve into the affected skin as needed.
• Wash the affected area with mild soap and water.
• Pat the area dry with a clean towel.
• Use clean fingers or a cotton swab to apply a small amount of salve to the bite or sting.
• Gently rub the salve into the skin until fully absorbed.
• Refrain from scratching to allow the salve to work effectively.
• After application, wash your hands to remove any residue.
• Apply 2-3 times daily or as needed for relief.
